NOT WHAT I EXPECTED | AVAILABLE NOW
My name is Avremi Zippel. I’ve always lived a mildly unusual life - I was raised in Salt Lake City as the son of a Rabbi, returning later to serve as a Rabbi myself in the same community. My beautiful wife, Sheina and I were married in 2014, and we have three adorable little boys. Unfortunately, I don’t like cilantro; my favorite color is purple.
I am also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Starting when I was 8 at the hands of a family caregiver, all told it would continue for ten years. After holding onto it for years, I finally took steps to get help. It ultimately led to reporting my case to law enforcement and going through the process that is the criminal justice system. I’ve always hoped that my experiences would allow me to help others in need and I’m grateful I get to be a voice and advocate for survivors.
